E. Dr. Scott has effectively worked with the co-occurring patterns of trauma, addiction, and mental health services for 33 years.
Her doctorate is in psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family practice. Her doctoral research, a phenomenological study of dissociative disordered women who self-mutilate, was published by UCLA (1999) in the Journal of Arts in Psychotherapy. In 2006, she wrote a chapter in a textbook, Integrating the Creative Arts into Trauma and Addiction Treatment as the primary author. She has co-authored two chapters for Oxford University Press for a book that will be published later this year entitled, Integrative Addiction Therapies. This book will be part of the Andrew Weil, MD, library series. Dr. Scott has provided lectures and workshops throughout the United States and overseas.
Dr. Scott has been selected as the Keynote Speaker for the West Coast Symposium for Addiction Disorders, June 2018. She is also the chair of the planning committee for the new art therapy educational track for the same conference. She will be the curator for a healing art show at La Quinta Resort.
